SELF-PROPELLED PORTAL CRANE AND ITS TRAVEL CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled portal crane capable of reducing unpleasant acceleration and deceleration in a driver's seat and improving ride comfort of a driver by controlling rotational frequencies of right and left traveling wheels so that no longitudinal acceleration is caused during turning in a portion of a trolley where the driver's seat and a lifting gear are. SOLUTION: The self-propelled portal crane 1 has the trolley 3 moving in the direction crossing a traveling direction X-X, and it turns by applying a rotational frequency difference to the traveling wheels 7 arranged on both right and left sides of the crane 1 during turning. It is provided with a turn control means applying the rotational frequency difference to the right and left traveling wheels 7 so that accelerationΔVT in the traveling direction X-X of the trolley 3 is zero during turning.
