PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrong setting preventer for ink cartridge in which an ink cartridge of each color can be set surely at a specified position in a carriage and an ink cartridge of specified color cannot be set correctly at a wrong position. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 17 is provided with engaging guide sections 33 formed in different shape depending on the ink color and the containing section 23 of a carriage 13 is provided with a plurality of engaging receiving sections 39 corresponding, in number, to the ink cartridges formed at positions corresponding to the engaging guide sections 33 of the ink cartridge 17 for each ink color. Each engaging receiving section 39 can receive the engaging guide section 33 of an ink cartridge for corresponding color but cannot receive the engaging guide section 33 of an ink cartridge for other color. |
