PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recovering a lead pipe from the underground when replacing an existing lead pipe with a new pipe. SOLUTION: The device comprises a pair of gears 16 for sandwiching the existing lead pipe 1 cut in the axial direction, driving means 32 for rotationally driving the main gear 16a, and adjusting means 31 for adjusting a space for the lead pipe 1 to be sandwiched between the pair of gears 16.
