PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass container coating method capable of preventing the whitening of a coating film or the generation of blister when the coated glass container is immersed in a strong alkali solution, which prevents scattering at the time of damage to the glass container, enhances the strength of the glass container and is used for washing the recovered container, preventing the peeling of the coating film caused by an impact generated at the time of mutual collision of containers, not leaving a fur mark even after washing and drying and enhancing the recycling use number of times of the glass container. SOLUTION: The glass container coating method comprises a process for treating the outer surface of the glass container with a silane coupling agent, a process for coating the outer surface of the treated glass container with a thermoplastic resin and a process for coating the outer surface of the glass container, which is coated with the thermoplastic resin, with a reactive compound containing a radical polymerizable compound and irradiating the coated glass container with active energy beam.
