PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive application apparatus easy to attach a work to and detach the work from and capable of automatically applying a prescribed amount of an adhesive to the outer circumferential face of a work such as work attaching screw parts and the like. SOLUTION: A work holding mechanism 10 comprises a work holding member 12 made of an elastic material such as an urethane member or the like, having a work insertion hole 12a, and attached to a seat 11 and bolts 14 fastening the work holding member 12 through a presser plate 13. A work W is held while being closely attached to the inner diameter part of the work insertion hole 12a. While the work holding mechanism 10 being rotated at a prescribed speed in the state that it holds the work W, a prescribed amount of an adhesive is discharged out a nozzle 31. In the case of application of the adhesive, the nozzle 31 is shifted to the position in the vicinity of the screw parts N of the work W so as to keep the work holding mechanism 10 and the nozzle 31 from each other during the time other than the adhesive application time.
