HEADER OF LITHIUM THIONYL CHLORIDE BATTERY AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A header of lithium thionyl chloride battery and preparation method thereof are provided to prevent the leakage of electrolyte solution charged in battery body and enhance hermetic property while maintaining the mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: The header hermetically bonded to the top of lithium thionyl chloride battery body(20) comprises a columnar cathode pin(1) whose bottom is connected to a cathode; a support part(3) which has a cylindrical inner circumferential part holding the cathode pin in the center of support part, wherein a circular flange part is formed at the bottom of support part; a top disk(5) which has a binding hole(5b) receiving the top of the support part(3) and is fixed and bonded to the top of the battery body; and adhesive parts(7) wh ich are applied on the points of contact to bond the cathode pin(1) to the cylindrical inner circumferential part of the support part, to bond the support part to the bonding hole of the top disk and to bond the top disk to the top inner part of the battery body, respectively. Inside the battery body(20), cathodes and anodes are separated by a plurality of separators.
