PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook lock capable of surely preventing the clothes from being caught on the hook lock by solving such a situation that a hook bolt or another lock part is projected from a lock case in an opening state of a door. SOLUTION: The hook lock includes a lock case 11, a slide block 13 for making reciprocative slide in the lock case 11, an operating body 14, the hook bolt 15 and two springs 32 and 39. The hook bolt 15 is vibratingly supported by the slide block 13 in a lockable or an unlockable manner, and the second spring 29 is energized to a locking posture. The slide block 13 is movingly energized toward the inside of the lock case 11 by the first spring 32 to always make the hook bolt 15 hold so as to go in or come out of the lock case 11 in a locking state i.e., in a door opening state. When the slide block 13 is movingly operated against the first spring 32, the hook bolt 15 comes out of the lock case 11 to enable it to engage with a striker 3 to lock.
