PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the existence of an aircraft by receiving a reflected signal originated from a transmitted wave highly accurately without interference between the transmitted wave and a reflected wave. SOLUTION: This aircraft detection device is constituted from reflectors 22 installed at required distances on one side of a taxiway, and aircraft sensors 21 installed at required distances on the other side of the taxiway. The aircraft sensor is equipped with a microwave circuit 23 for transmitting a microwave pulse signal by circular polarization toward the reflectors, and receiving the reflected waves from the reflectors including the taxiway, and an operation processing control part 25 for setting a detection area and a reflection area related beforehand with the taxiway and the reflectors, generating a reception pattern from the size relation between a reception level of the reflected wave from the detection area and the reflection area and a threshold determined beforehand, and acquiring a detection signal of existence of the aircraft corresponding to a pattern to which the reception pattern belongs among plural patterns determined beforehand. |
