PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller of an AC-DC power inverter which can prevent surely a DC current from flowing into an AC system by short-circuiting a DC circuit, even when a failure occurs, while the AC system is in a single-circuit operation. SOLUTION: There are provided a separately excited power inverter 220, which converts DC power of a DC circuit into AC power and supplies the AC power to an AC system, breakers 511, 512, and 513 which remove a failure point F, when a failure occurs in a transmission line F, and an AC transmission line protective RY means which detects the failure point F and makes the breakers 511, 512, and 513 operate. A switch 230 is connected between the current flow-in side and the current flow-out side of the separately excited power inverter 220 on the DC circuit side of the separately excited power inverter 220, the commutation disabled state of the separately excited power inverter 220 is detected by a detection control means (two-phase current flow detector) 800, and the switch 230 is made to operate, when the commutation incapability is detected. |
