PURPOSE: A device for measuring an exercise quantity is provided to offer the exercise quantity and the health information to the user by transmitting the data measured by a pedometer and a heart rate meter to a web server through a wireless network and making the web server process the measured data. CONSTITUTION: The registered member of a web server(60) uses WAP(wireless application protocol) as a transmission means to send the measured data as the user wears the exercise quantity measuring device(10) consisting of a heart rate meter and a pedometer. The transmitted data is sent to the web server through a gateway (a WAP proxy)(50) using TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). The web server processes the information to produce the numeric values about the activity information of the user by using the basic user information. The user is provided with the result in documents in HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) format by logging on to the web server through the Internet using the personal computer(80). The web server comprises of a data base server(70) storing the basic user information and the processed information, and a firewall(75) providing the security in transmitting data through the Internet. |
