PURPOSE:To keep a clearance in state of watertight and shielded completely by providing additionally upper and lower lips extending horizontally by amounts equal to a clearance and more than that, respectively, in the case of a weather strip to keep the clearance between a lid and a roof watertight. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower lips 19 and 20 are additionally provided for the lip 18 of an weather strip 17 at both a female hinge 9 and lid front end 8 sections of the strip corresponding to only the front end 8 of the lid 7. The lower lip 20 is so formed that it is extended horizontally by an amount of L sufficient to keep a clearance between the lid 7 and a roof water tight and is brought contact with the wall surface 14 of an opening 2 in a deflected state. On the other hand, the upper lip 19 is so formed that it is extended horizontally by an amount 1 equivalent to the above-mentioned clearance. Thus the above- mentioned clearance is kept watertight by the lower lip 20 and the existence of the above-mentioned clearance is covered by the upper lip 19, to obtain good appearance of the whole roof. |
