PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monomer compositional liquid for obtaining a high- refractive index polymer which has high-level optical properties and low specific gravity and also is excellent in processability including dyeability, molding accuracy and hard coat adhesiveness, and to provide a method for producing the polymer as lens. SOLUTION: This monomer composition for plastic lens comprises 0.1-10 wt.% of a specific monomer, 5-50 wt.% of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate compound, 5-40 wt.% of divinylbenzene or divinylbiphenyl, 10-50 wt.% of a crosslinkable isocyanate compound, 10-40 wt.% of a compound having in the molecule at least two thiol groups, and 1-1,000 ppm of a thiourethane linkage promoting compound.
