METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING CHROMATICITY OF ILLUMINATION LIGHT

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for detecting chromaticity of illumination light are provided to visually detect chromaticity of illumination light exerting an affect on a color of an image by using a metameric color. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of metameric test samples consisting of metameric pairs are fabricated. The metameric pairs have different metameric conditions with respect to illumination light having various chromaticity. The plurality of metameric test samples are positioned adjacent to a test sample having a standard color. Then, chromaticity of illumination light is detected by using the standard-color test sample and metameric test samples. The standard-color test sample and metameric test samples have a rectangular shape, in which a lateral length thereof is about 1-3cm.
