PURPOSE: A method of managing module-related information of a modular system is provided to effectively transmit information required for smooth operation of each module within a short period of time and to update module-related information to the latest version. CONSTITUTION: A modular system includes a plurality of modules that respectively perform independent functions and a base module that interfaces with the modules to control the operation of each of the modules. The base module and the modules are communicated with each other to acquire information related to each module, which is stored in the module(S204). The acquired information is stored in a memory accessed by the base module(S206). The operation of acquiring module-related information and storing the information is carried out whenever the modular system starts to operate.
