PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a wiping device which is simple simply attachable by an industrial means in particular and which is tightly fixed onto a container once it is attached. SOLUTION: The wiping device 10 is to be fitted to a container for housing a product such as cosmetics applied by using an applicator, and the wiping device is partially made from elastically deformable material. The wiping device is provided with a main body 11 having wiping parts 21, 22 and a fixing means 14 for fixing the wiping device 10. The fixing means 14 consists of at least one flexible lip 14 which has its one end attached to the main body 11 of the wiping device by a joining part 16, which has a second end being a free end and which is positioned on the outer surface of the main body 11.
