PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high decomposition capacity and high organic matter removing ratio by keeping temperature fitted to the decomposition reaction of an organic matter slurry even if the temperature of exhaust gas is relatively low. SOLUTION: The organic matter treatment system is equipped with a reactor 1 for subjecting the organic matter slurry containing water to supercritical hydroxylation reaction with an oxidizing agent to decompose the same and further equipped with a slurry preheater 4 for preheating the slurry supplied to the reactor 1 from a slurry supply means 2 by the heat of the exhaust gas 3 and an oxidizing agent preheater 6 for preheating oxygen supplied to the reactor 1 from an oxidizing agent supply means 5. Since the slurry and oxygen are separately preheated to be sent into the reactor 1, even if the temperature of the exhaust gas 3 is relatively low, the temperature fitted to the decomposition reaction of the organic matter slurry can be kept in the reactor 1.
