FREE-SPACE OPTICAL TRANSMITTER AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM EMPLOYING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free-space optical transmitter and an optical transmission system employing the same that allows a transmitter side to provide a sufficient optical output level and to supply an optical signal of a sufficient amount to a receiver side. SOLUTION: The free-space optical transmitters placed opposite to each other at a prescribed spatial distance to transmit information by an optical signal are provided with a light source means that transmits an optical signal and a visual light source means that emits a visible light in the same direction as the optical signal emitted from the light source means.
