MULTI-TUNNEL GATEWAY, VIRTUAL MULTI-DROP ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION METHOD IN THE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a plurality of virtual tunnels for transferring a frame with a non-conventional communication protocol on a conventional network which adopts conventional network protocols. SOLUTION: A communication processing section 13 of a gateway 13-i transmits/receives a frame with a non-conventional communication protocol via a physical port. A capsulating/decapsulating processing section 132 capsulates the frame received by the communication processing section processing section 131 via the physical port in a way of transferring the frame via a virtual tunnel, designated by tunnel information registered in a gateway table 15-i . A communication processing section 135 transmits the capsulated frame to a connection destination gateway 13-j (#j) via a virtual tunnel on a conventional network 14 designated by the tunnel information. The gateway 13-j (#j) decapsulates the frame received via the virtual tunnel and transmits the resulting frame to a non-conventional communication protocol device from the physical port.
