<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease delay times, caused at switching of a TV channel at a receiver side in the case of transmitting a video signal, in real time. SOLUTION: A video signal decoder is provided with a channel selection means 212, that selects the channel of a video signal sent from a transmitter side and generates selection information, a data receiving means 213 that receives data sent from the transmitter side, a reception buffer 201 that temporarily stores the received data, a packet data read means 202 that reads the data temporarily stored in the reception buffer 201, a decoding means 204 that reads the packet data from the read data, decodes the data and generates a video signal, and a reception buffer control means 211 that controls the reception buffer, on the basis of the control information. Upon the receipt of a control information input, the reception buffer control means 211 deletes the packet data temporarily stored in the data reception buffer 201 and changes the storage capacity.</p> |
