PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement member for a showcase with which the advertisement for sales promotion of housed articles can be properly carried out. SOLUTION: The advertisement member 2 has an upper surface and four side faces, and has a shape of a square cylinder which can be freely attachably and detachably put on an upper end of an article storage chamber 1b, and one side face out of four side faces is provided with an advertisement part 2d where characters and graphics indicating a trade name, a name of an article maker, etc., are described. When the advertisement for sales promotion of the housed articles is carried out, after a direction of the advertisement member 2 is adjusted so that the part 2d is turned to a glass door 1b2 side of the showcase 1, a top plate 1b3 is covered with the member 2 and the member 2 is attached to the upper end of the showcase 1.
