PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus for digesting a DNA sample and a method for programming the operation thereof, thereby shorting digesting time taking 24 hours or more to digest it within 15 minutes by heating according to its condition. CONSTITUTION: The method for programming the apparatus for digesting a DNA sample comprises the steps of: inputting on/off time and operation cycle of a microwave generator according to the condition of a DNA sample to be heated via a key pad; storing the input on/off time and coefficient in a memory; and performing on/off operation of the microwave generator.
