PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the weight of a plasma display device lighter. SOLUTION: This plasma display device has a panel 10 which is opposed and arranged with a pair of substrates which is transparent on at least the front side in a manner as to form an electric discharge space between the substrates and is disposed with electrode groups, a chassis member 14 which is arranged on the back side of the panel 10, a display driving circuit block which is arranged at this chassis member 14 and makes display by impressing a signal to the panel and a casing which has a front cabinet 11 for protecting the outer peripheral part of the panel 10 and a back cover 12 for protecting the display driving circuit block side. The front cabinet 11 is constituted by molding a denatured polyphenylene ether resin to a frame shape.
