<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode structure and its manufacturing method as well as an electron gun and a cathode-ray tube, of which, an electron beam spot diameter is made smaller, a cathode driving voltage is lowered, and break down voltage resistance characteristic of electron emission characteristic and cathode life are improved. SOLUTION: The cathode structure, its manufacturing method, the electron gun and the cathode-ray tube are obtained, in which, a protruded part 14 is formed at the center of a cathode 16, and electron beams 13 are emitted only from a tip part 15 of the protruded part 14 or a top face 20, and emission of an electron emission material 9 from other porous base body parts are to be restrained.</p> |
