The device has a clamp element (1) with support (2) for a work piece and a holder element (3) with holding-down pad (4). The holder element is moveable, esp. pivoted below the support, and the work piece is clamped on the support via a second holding-down pad (5) on the element. The element is curved, with a holding-down pad at either end, and a vertically moveable guide (6).
