PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure average particle size of a ceramic, in a short time. SOLUTION: In this instrument, a measured face is imaged by an imaging device, the imaged result is quantized, the quantized result is binarized, based on a prescribed brightness threshold to be corrected into an image discriminated monochromically as to particle portion and grain boundary, the number of the grain boundaries on a prescribed straight line in a corrected image is counted, and the average particle size is measured based on the number of the grain boundaries. |
