<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module with which an optical output can be measured without connecting measuring optical fiber and with which the engaged/unengaged state of an optical connector can be detected. SOLUTION: In the optical module containing a light source means (light- emitting element) 5 and a receptacle 2 which is freely detachable from an optical fiber plug 12 of an optical fiber 13 having an inclined end face 14 for optical axis reflection, a light-receiving means 4 for detecting light from the light source means is installed at a position where the optical module body 7 is irradiated by the light from the light source means, when the optical fiber connector plug is not engaged, and where the optical module body 7 is unirradiated because the light from the light source means is interrupted by the optical fiber, when the optical fiber connector plug is engaged.</p> |
