PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cooling system for civil engineering and construction machinery capable of improving the cooling performance of a downstream heat exchanger without increasing the noises of a cooling fan. SOLUTION: Suction ports 16a and 16b taking in cooling air P1 and P2 and introducing them into the cooling fan 11 are formed to the suction-side side cover 13b region of an upper cover 13d for an engine room 4 and the upper region of a suction-side side cover 13b respectively. The suction port 16a is arranged at a place where the outside air can be introduced directly to an oil cooler 9a and a radiator 9c respectively through openings d1 and d2 at two places without an intercooler 9a. The suction port 16a is arranged at a place biased to the fluid inflow side of the intercooler 9a.
