<p>A DSP (7) and a control unit (9) of a TDMA cellular system for multislot communication determines the intensity of the received signal of each of the time slots received at an RF input unit (2). If the intensity is abnormal, a weight smaller than that of when it is normal is given so as to calculate an average of the intensity of the received signal of each time slot. If an average of the intensity is abnormal, a weight smaller than that of when it is normal is given, and an average of the averages of the intensities of the received signals in the frame is calculated. A gain control signal generated according to the average of the reception intensities of the slots is fed back to an automatic gain control circuit (3) so as to perform automatic gain control to control the received sign intensity to a predetermined level. Thus, the signals of the time slots in one frame can be stably received with the same preset gain.</p> |
