PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle with an auxiliary mechanism capable of assisting the rotation of pedals, namely the propelling force, by utilizing driver's weight. SOLUTION: This auxiliary mechanism 10 is formed of a load transmitting shaft 12 connected to a saddle 4, a load receiver body 14, on which a guide roller 22 provided at a lower end of the load transmitting shaft 12 abuts, a support case 13 for housing and supporting the load receiver body 14 freely to rotate, a slide shaft 30 supported by the support case 13 freely to move in the horizontal direction, a first link mechanism 35 for connecting pedals 5a and 5b to the slide shaft 30, and a second link mechanisms 40a and 40b for connecting the load receiver body 14 to the pedals 5a and 5b. The load receiver body 14, to which the driver's weight is applied, is turned by the horizontal movement of the slide shaft 30, and the rotation of the load receiver body 14 is transmitted to the pedals 5a and 5b through the second link mechanisms 40a and 40b to assist the rotation of the pedals 5a and 5b.
