PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet supplying device and an image forming device provided with the same capable of reducing a clearance of a preceding sheet material and a sheet to be carried next and increasing a speed for forming an image by nearly conforming a position for detecting a tip end of the sheet and a position for detecting a rear end of the sheet material of a sheet detecting means. SOLUTION: A first sheet detecting means for detecting the sheet material reaching between a feed roller 206 and a retard roller 207, and a second sheet detecting means for detecting the sheet reaching a pair of carrying rollers 209 are respectively structured by a light emitting and receiving unit 330 provided on one side of a sheet carrying path, and a reflecting member 340 provided on other side of the sheet carrying path. The two light emitting and receiving units 330 are provided on a same side with respect to the sheet carrying path, and are supported by a same supporting member.
