FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel biologically active compounds of pyrazole carboxylic acid class. Invention proposes 593)-phenyl-4-phenyl-3(5)-pyrazole carboxylic acid of the formula (I) eliciting antibacterial activity. Compound of the formula (I) is synthesized by interaction of 2,4-dioxo-4-phenyl-3-phenyl- -hydrazonobutanoic acid with excess of hydrazine hydrate in acetic acid medium at the room temperature followed by isolation of end product by known procedures. Invention provides synthesis of practically nontoxic compound with high yield (99%) and high level of antibacterial activity.
