PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety protecting agent for biological membrane of which side-effects only appears in less development frequency. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the protecting agent for biological membrane containing an extract of Lentinus edodes mycelium, said protecting agent for biological membrane is effective to prevents injury and damage of various biological membranes; to prevents development from mild grade injury and damage of biological membrane to severe grade injury and damage of biological membrane; to prevents onset of various diseases caused by injury and damage of biological membrane; to relieve symptoms of various diseases caused by injury and damage of biological membrane and to improve and or become calm symptoms of various diseases caused by injury and damage of biological membrane and others.
