<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image recording and reproducing device which eliminates such an operation that a user has the trouble of setting a separation point to separate an unwanted portion into moving image files in editing and deleting unwanted portions with less changing amount of motion. SOLUTION: When a moving image is separated and reproduced, a reference changing amount stored in a reference changing amount setting storing section 22 to be used as reference for judgment of changing amount of motion is compared with a changing amount of motion of the image data being presently processed, and of the image data immediately before thereof by a trigger judgement section 23. A file is automatically separated and recorded for each scene with the changing amount of motion exceeding the reference changing amount of motion, and portions with less changing amounts of motion than the reference changing amount are automatically deleted. The reference changing amount can be switched by a setting switching section 25 between an initial reference changing amount of a default value stored in a default setting memory 24 and an arbitrary reference changing amount which is arbitrarily set by the user. Also, the device is provided with a deletion setting section 26 with which the user can designate the deletion of the moving image file before separation.</p> |
