PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine suitable for mounting on a small planing boat, capable of lowering the center of gravity of a ship boat and also of securing flexibility, in the arrangement of auxiliary equipment or the like. SOLUTION: Balancers 114L and 114R are arranged from a side to a side of a crankshaft 21 on the rate face D of an engine 20, to be mounted into the ship body of the small planing boat 10 surrounded by a hull 14 and a deck 15. An idle gear 116 of a balancer 114R is arranged at the opposite side of a starter motor 120, while holding the crankshaft 21, or arranged while holding a cylinder. An oil tank is installed in the front part of the engine, and oil supply passages 60j and 60k for supplying an oil to a balancer support are formed on the case 60 of the oil tank. |
