OFFSET ADJUSTING METHOD FOR OPTICAL DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an offset so that a tracking error signal and a focus error signal can be accurately obtained in an optical disk device. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 11 moves an optical pickup 2 in a focus direction to an optical disk 1 and detects a first and a second focus position respectively to an optical disk surface and a data surface based on a signal detected by a preamplifier 9 during the movement. Then the microcomputer 11 adjusts the offset of the tracking signal and the focus error signal at a focus position different from the first and second focus position.
