A debugger is used to define the parameters and thresholds associated with process code. Routines that affect the defined parameters during the process execution are modified to measure the defined parameters. As the process executes, measurements associated with the parameters are monitored by systems and methods consistent with the present invention. When the measurements reach a defined threshold associated with the parameter, a breakpoint is reached and an interrupt is generated by the operating system. Following the interrupt, the debugger is sent the interrupt and it determines the cause of the interrupt. Also following the interrupt, the process is terminated so that the state of the system in which the process is executing may be analyzed. |
