PURPOSE: A reel transferring apparatus of a feeder for chip mounter is provided to minimize generation of impulse by rotating a rotary wing to only one direction to transfer a reel. CONSTITUTION: A power source portion(31) is for providing rotary power. A rotary wing portion(32) is connected with the power source portion(31). The rotary wing portion(32) includes two or more wings. A reel transferring gear portion(50) includes a feeding gear portion(37) for transferring a reel, a latch gear portion(38) for maintaining constantly the position of rotation, and a rotary wing gear portion(39) having a buffer. The first latch portion(34) is contacted with the latch gear portion(38) to generate repelling power to a counter-rotating direction of the latch gear portion(38). The second latch portion(35) is contacted with the latch gear portion(38) to generate the repelling power to a rotating direction of the latch gear portion(38).
