PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a precise position of a rivet is provided to improve the productivity and to save manufacturing cost by reducing number of rivets to be used. CONSTITUTION: A rivet position detecting apparatus includes a CCTV laser displacement sensor(10), a control section(20), and a display section(30). The CCTV laser displacement sensor(10) is positioned adjacent to a rivet(1). The CCTV laser displacement sensor(10) includes a driving circuit(11) for generating laser beam, a light emitting device(12), a light receiving lens(13), and a position detecting device(14). Light reflected from a surface of the rivet(1) passes through the light receiving lens(13) so that displacement of the rivet(1) is calculated. The position detecting device(14) detects a precise position of the rivet(1) by using light incident through the light receiving lens(13). The control section(20) determines whether the rivet(1) maintains a normal state or not by receiving a displacement signal from the position detecting device(14).
