COATING METHOD AND COATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a coating liquid on a web in high speed without changing physical properties and a type of solvent of the coating liquid. SOLUTION: A coating liquid 13 is applied on a web 27 which runs while contacting a wire bar 11 rotating on a backup 16. A liquid receiver 26 is arranged to a coating head 12 on a primary manifold 23 located at the upstream side of the web 27 by a weir 28 via a slot 25. By regulating the length L1(mm) of the liquid receiver 26 to 10<=L1>=50, the coating liquid 13 is refrained from generating vortex and high speed coating is made possible.
