PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water discoloring sheet rich in unexpectedness and variety, which is proper in water permeation from a porous layer and its holding capacity, and in which the change in color tone of the porous layer in liquid suction state and non-suction state can be more clearly recognized, and its production method. SOLUTION: In the water discoloring sheet 1 and its production method, the porous layer 3 in which particulate silicic acid is fixed on a binder resin in a dispersed state is formed on a fabric surface within a range of Metsuke amount of 30 g/m<2> to 1000 g/m<2> as a supporting body 2, while an opaque water impermeable resin layer 4 including pigment is provided on the rear face of the support body.
