<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer switch low in cost with small shape without using a large switch of large current capacity for a switch for the on-off operation of a load. SOLUTION: This dimmer switch 1 is provided with current carrying wires a, b connected to a pair of changeover contacts of a changeover switch SW1 respectively, and a current carrying wire c connected to the common contact of the changeover switch SW1 through a series circuit of a commercial power source AC and the load L1. The dimmer switch 1 is further provided with a changeover relay RY1 with a pair of changeover contacts connected to the current carrying wires a, b, and a switching element TR1 connected between the common contact of the changeover relay RY1 and the current carrying wire c. When performing the changeover control of the changeover relay RY1 under the control of a control circuit 2 by the operation of a switch SW2, a switching element TR1 is put in an off state.</p> |
