PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program-summery attached EPG transmitter and a receiver, which are capable of viewing a program introduction spot broadcasting as a program summary with images and voices on an EPG display screen as to a broadcast program introduced through EPG and very easily grasping the contents of the broadcast programs. SOLUTION: A program introduction spot broadcasting, as to a broadcast program which is scheduled to be broadcast on EPG, is sent (broadcast) as a program summary with images and voices from a transmitter 10 installed in a broadcasting station, and the program summary with images and voices, such as the program introduction spot broadcasting sent from the transmitter 10, are received by receivers installed at home, and the program summary can be watched by viewers at home.
