Transdermal therapeutic system which comprises a self-adhering matrix layer containing (-) 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-6-[propyl[2-(2-thienyl)ethyl]amino]-1-naphthol, a backing layer which is inert to the ingredients of the matrix, and a protective layer which is to be removed before application. The matrix layer contains as a base a non-aqueous polymer adhesive based on acrylate or silicone, and has a solubility of ³ 5% (per weight) for the free base (-)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-6-[propyl[2-(2-thienyl)ethyl]amino]-1-naphthol.
