PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten liquidation time of costs of articles. SOLUTION: When transfer of the articles from an article rack to a basket of a shopping cart carried by a customer and the number of articles are detected by an article transfer identifier 2, identification codes and the number of the detected articles are associated with the customer and stored in a customer information data base 5.
