PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting operating conditions of an automatic vending machine by which various sale operating conditions to be set in the automatic vending machine are easily set. SOLUTION: A layout picture of a plurality of commodity columns, a layout picture of a plurality of commodity selection buttons and a setting data display picture in the automatic vending machine are displayed on a display respectively by using a computer system provided to enable data exchange with a sale control part of the automatic vending machine, commodity columns are selectively specified from the layout picture of the commodity columns, commodity selection buttons are selectively specified from the layout picture of the commodity selection buttons, the commodity columns are associated with the commodity selection buttons and their association results are displayed on the setting data display picture. And the association result is transferred to the sale control part of the automatic vending machine and the operating conditions are set in the automatic vending machine.
