SYSTEM AND METHOD OF VERIFYING SHARING OF RESOURCES IN PEER-TO-PEER NETWORK ENVIRONMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the bandwidth and resources in a peer-to-peer network environment. SOLUTION: The method of securely sharing resources via a peer-to-peer network comprises a step of broadcasting a request by a peer at the request side regarding the resources via the peer-to-peer network where the request includes identification of the resource including a resource version identifier, a step of receiving an answer from a peer at the answer side on the peer-to-peer network where the answer indicates the peer at the answer side has a requested resource, a step of fetching the requested resource from the peer at the answer side, and a step of checking, if the version identifier is embedded in the fetched resource to verify the fetched resource.
