<p>It is intended to provide a method of screening a chemical which requires little labor and is usable as a substitute for vivisection and an apparatus therefor. A plate 4 made of a transparent material is provided with a plural number of wells 5. The wells 5 contain a liquid enabling the development of fish embryos and a test chemical. Fish embryos are soaked in the wells 5. After a definite period of time at a definite temperature, each embryo develops into an individual. In case where the test chemical affects the development of the embryo, the embryo is malformed or dies.</p> |
