A mouse−origin protein or a DNA encoding the same is useful in: (1) determining a ligand to this protein; (2) preventives and/or remedies for diseases relating to hypofunction of the protein; and (3) screening a compound (an agonist, an antagonist, etc.) capable of changing the binding properties of the protein to a ligand.
