BLACK COLORANT FOR INK-JET PRINTING INK, INK-JET PRINTING INK AND AQUEOUS PIGMENT DISPERSION CONTAINING THE BLACK COLORANT

PURPOSE: Provided is a black colorant for ink-jet printing ink exhibiting high blackness and an excellent tinting strength, dispersibility and light resistance. An ink-jet printing ink exhibiting excellent dispersion stability and light resistance and an aqueous pigment dispersion containing the black colorant are also provided. CONSTITUTION: The black colorant suitable for ink-jet printing ink, having an average particle diameter of 0.001 to 0.15 micrometers, comprises: an extender pigment as a core particle; an adhesive coating layer formed on at least one part of the surface of the core particle; and a black pigment coat formed on at least one part of the adhesive coating layer. The ink-jet printing ink comprises the black colorant and an ink base solution. Further, the aqueous pigment dispersion comprises 10 to 40% by weight of the black colorant and a base solution for the aqueous pigment dispersion.
