The track support, comprising a sleeper (11) resting on an anti-vibration sole (13), includes a shoe (17) covering the sides and base of the sole and at least the lower portions of the sleeper's side faces, and a load distribution plate (15) between the sole and interior of the shoe, or between the shoe and the ballast. The dynamic rigidity of the anti-vibration sole is selected to be lower than that of the shoe and as a function of the dynamic behaviour of the rails; it can be selected so that alternating supports are relatively rigid and relatively supple.
